Taking a Motorcycle Road Test.

I started riding motorcycles when I was about 12. Trail bikes are involved in a lot of my fondest memories of my preteen and teenage years. I rode road bikes throughout my teens and into my twenties. As things like this go, marriage and kids took precendence in my life, so I haven't owned a motorcycle since the early 80s. Because I didn't have a motorcycle, I let my license lapse. I still don't have a bike, but I do have friends with bikes. So I decided it's time for me to get licensed again. In Wisconsin, if you have never had a motorcycle endorsement, or it's been 8 years since your last motorcycle expired, you have to retake the written and road test. No problem. I took the written test and paid my money, so they gave me a motorcycle learners' permit. This made it legal for me to ride with certain restrictions. I'm required to wear a helmet and can only have a rider if they have been licensed for more than 2 years. A good friend has been letting me take his V45 and V65 every now and then. He is also letting me borrow the V45 for the road test. My timing kind of sucks though. My road test is Thursday... Thursday is supposed to be in the 30s... The cold is ok though, I can bundle up for that, I'm just hoping the weather cooperates since I have to drive to Milwaukee (an hour away) for the test. Ah, the cost of riding. It will be well worth it!
