Okay here's my situation. My son has a school project due 11/21/08. He must put together a Thankful Box full of items (can't be full of toys). I've run out of ideas. He's in 1st grade, so it needs to be somewhat age appropriate. Any ideas??? Here's what I have so far. Our family - he drew a picture with crayons of our family, house and pets. Friends - he has a picture of him and his best friend. Bandaid - his health or no boo-boos. Play food - for food to eat.

A toy car - Thankful mommy has a car to take him to school or to take her to work. A toy house or a picture of a house - Thankful he has a place to live. Even some thing silly like a picture of McDonalds - he is Thankful there is a McDonalds to play at and get happy meals.

Tell him to put a picture of his heart in the box :P then when people ask what he's thankful for. He can say all the things that has ever made him happy and all the love he gets HAHA. THATS AWESOME admit it! Its harder to find things with younger kids, they havent experienced life like we have. Though i guess you only really see pure as a child so... ;D
