washing jeans

jeans - I ruined some jeans in the washer and dryer with some crayons.

How do you wash your jeans?? Do you turn them inside out first or do you leave them the way they are??? I think i'm going to start turning my jeans inside out before I wash them. The other day I washed jeans and i'm pretty good and making sure there is nothing in the pockets; however, I missed a couple crayons in my sons pockets. After I took the jeans out of the dryer about five pairs of jeans were ruined. Have you ever missed something in the pockets and ruin some jeans??

No luckily that has not happened to me. I always check pockets..I always wash them inside out and I was told by a person that worked in a jeans store to add a pinch of salt to the wash as it helps to keep their colour.

I just wash them regularly, but I never put them in the dryer for fear they'll shrink! I have enough trouble finding jeans that are long enough. I often forget things in the pockets though. I can't count the number of times I've fished change out of the washer!
