To buy or not to buy?

Do you think now is a good time to buy a house? Some people say that if you are fortunate enough to be able to get a loan now is a great time to buy a house. They say because the price of homes are down you can get a bigger better home for your money. Other people say now is not a good time to buy a house because of the uncertain economy. My husband and I plan on buying a house in May. We have been planning this for a while (before the housing prices dropped and the economy got bad). Do you think it is a good idea or not?
