What if YouTube start to show live videos already? On November 22, YouTube will start its live stream of videos. It will show live concerts, variety shows, and many more of various well known artists and personalities. Will television be just a history in the future? What do you think?

Not in the near future i guess... since there are still a lot of families who cannot afford a computer with internet connection... or even just a simple computer... and the tv can be bought at a very cheap price... depending on the store and brand... Maybe after 200 years... when internet access is free... and people can afford to buy computers or laptop with great speed...

You have a point. There are many who have Internet connection in their homes but still, many can't afford to have it. My home doesn't have an Internet connection installed. But in my home, we have no television. We only have a computer. It is the one we use to watch movies from DVDs and CDs.

probably, if: 1. internet connection becomes free of charge and fast enough that videos play without buffering 2. video quality becomes as good as regular tv 3. everybody becomes computer literate 4. computer units will be as cheap as tv sets

Many people are using the Internet now. Internet is also accessible to all through Internet cafes. There's a big possibility that Internet speed will improve later on. You're right. Unless everyone becomes familiar with using computers, live streaming videos on the Internet will find it hard to replace the television.

Hello wrangel. I don't think that YouTube will ever take the place of television completely because it is still more convenient to watch TV.
