After giving birth to an 11 pound baby, my body has never been the same. I am back to my prepregnancy weight but I look huge.. My tummy hangs down, and the skin....ewwww dont get me started. I look around at other mothers (of normal sized babies) and see that they somehow regained their prepregnancy body, but not me... So I'm wondering if their are any mothers of twins or mothers of HUGE GIGANTIC babies out there that might have some tips for me.

My aunt gained 95Ibs during her second pregnancy. The doctors told her she could try skin firming lotion but that it would only do so much. They told her that she would probably have to get her excess skin cut off after losing the weight. She hasn't yet, she still wants to lose a little more weight, but she plans to.

Yes I think that will be my last ditch effort as well. I want to have one more child before I elect to have the surgery. No use fixing it, just to break it again. lol

I have a 4 month old, she was normal sized but I haven't lost any weight either. As a matter of fact I'm gaining weight. I have the saggy boobs and saggy belly. YUCK! I can't help you either but I started a similar discussion a while back and got no help. I just wanted to say good luck and I hope you actually get some help...for us both.

Don't push yourself too hard, you are still recovering. I'd start worrying about getting in shape when the baby is at least six months old. Of course who am I to give advice...

Hello glords =) Congratulations on your new baby. Your discussion caught my insterest as I am due to give birth as well next year. Right now I'm already having some red stretch marks and they're really itchy! I have resisted the urge to scratch them though but my mom still thinks I do it because of the red color. We are 3 siblings in all and not one stretch mark can be seen on her flawless tummy. Its not saggy at all too so I'm crossing my fingers that my stomach would look like hers after all this. Her secret, she says, is to religiously massage lotion on her skin and never to scratch even if the itch will drive you crazy. She has alwasy been very, very conscious of her weight though so she's very disciplined in that area. It has worked for her, I'm not so sure if it will work for others.

congrats on your upcoming arrival. I really hope that your tummy recovers as well, though I also religiously used lotions... speacialized ones that claimed to prevent stretch marks and other lotions too with shay butter, because I was told it would help... sadly it didn't turn out so well for me, but then again my baby was over 11 pounds.

I have given birth to and 10lb 1 oz baby boy and and 10lb 11oz baby boy and and 10lb 4oz baby girl and I don't think it is possible without a tummy tuck to have a sexy looking body again! I really hate the "apron" of skin but....it just will not go away!

I'm afraid you are right... Thanks for sharing and I'm glad to know that there are other Gigantico babies out there. Give them a hug from the 11.1 Gigantico out here in Utah.
