Hi! I asked my husband what he wanted for Christmas and he said a 18-19.2-24 volt cordless drill.. So I went online and searched and they are so many to choose from now the problem is choosing and choosing the best one,to see if it is worth the price and if it will get the job done. He wants one he can use for work that is durable since he is a carpenter. It has to come with a charger and battery. I found one at a reasonable price, Has anyone heard of Black Max 24 volt Cordless Drill brand? Have you ever bought one and was it durable? Would you recommend it? There are tons of brands out there Makita,Panasonic,Craftsman,Dewault,Milwaukee,Black Max and many more. What brands do you use? Is a Cordless drill on your Christmas/shopping list?

As he wants to use it for work, I would recommend Dewault or Makita. You do not say if it needs to have hammer action or not, which you would need to take into consideration. all the best urban

Thanks for the information I have written it down so it will help me in my search. I think he would prefer the hammer action. He would be using it from room to floor in building houses from inside to out, So I think the hammer would be useful. Thanks.

Ok, just to clarify the hammer action is only used when drilling into masonry, concrete, etc. Should have said that before. If he doesn't need the hammer action then I would go for an 18v as 24v can be a little cumbersome for some tasks. I used a Makita 9v, best balanced drill ever and rarely have to use a more powerful drill, unless I'm going into masonry or metal all the best urban

Hey winterose thanks for stopping by in my discussion I appreciate it alot. I did search eBay and found some for $59-$65 and bid even then later last night I went in search of when the Black Friday Sales were going to be happening and seen the ssame Craftsman drill for $39.99 and not have to pay the steep price of shipping and handling from eBay. I have bid but I am holding steady and hoping that someone bids more..lol otherwise I will have to get it.again thanks for stopping by.
