Let's take a stab at predicting the future here; does anyone have any thoughts on who George W. Bush will pardon before leaving office in January? How about Scooter Libby? Or former Olympic Gold Medalist Marion Jones? Any other ideas? Hey, how about Ted Stevens...lol? Annie

How about Leonard Peltier? He's been a "political" prisoner for over 25 years. He was connected with the then radical group A.I.M. (American Indian Movement) however, he was a scapegoat for the FBI as two of their agents supposedly were killed by AIM members....bullcrap...too many people think it was friendly fire and the jerks shot each other...yet he somehow got blamed just because he was a member of AIM

That guys a freaking murderer and he deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life. I remember when they were pressuring Clinton to pardon that guy. Thank god Clinton didn't do such a stupid thing.

I read all about it at the end of Clinton's presidency. I saw no good reason to pardon him then and I see no good reason to pardon him now. If there's so much evidence that he had nothing to do with it then he should appeal the decision. That's how these things work.

Sorry but there's too much evidence that he had NOTHING to do with any murders. You should read some facts

He better pardon Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. Those two border agents sitting in federal prison. Prosecuted and convicted in 2006....for doing their job. Sickening, I guess no good deed goes unpunished eh?

I'd heard or read something where there's been an effort to get Bush to pardon them for some time now and he hasn't done it for some reason. I guess time will tell, maybe whatever his reason may have been in the past won't matter so much when he's about to leave office. Annie

Well, if he doesn't, the preassure will shift to Obama when he takes office, hopefully anyways, this is one of those things that should not just be let go. Their sentencing sends a dangerous message to those comming across the border to do harm and a discouraging message to those who are defending us against them.

and as an important side note, i find it ironic that they will punish them for doing their job at the border, but graciously encourage them to stop and harras residents of a state in their day to day travel in the middle of a state, at check point 75 miles from any border.

I thought that he would pardon Stevens as soon as the jury came in. I'm sure that there's a list that he will be pardoning before he leaves. The last few months with him sneaking around "fixing" what he wants really leaves the possiblity that everyone will get a pardon lol

You're right, he's been undoing every environmental regulation possible and nobody's been paying any attention. Annie

I thought he already pardoned Libby. Anyway I do not know who he will pardon but I know who he should pardon Jose Alonso Compean and Ignacio Ramos. Along with the pardon should be an big apology.

He didn't pardon Libby, he commuted his sentence so he never had to serve a day in prison. Regarding Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an apology even if he does issue the pardons. I don't think Bush "does" apologies. Annie
