I'm a catholic by faith, this is the religion influenced us by the Spaniards as far as I know during the time of their stay in the Philippines way back. There are so many people who shift from one religion to another but I preferred to stay being a catholic. However I do respect others beliefs and religion. It doesn't matter for me if my friends or other people has differrent religions. As long as we believe in one God and our creator. I just don't favor debates on religion as it will just result to misunderstanding. Everyone has their own beliefs that must be considered and respected.

Thanks for sharing bing......I suppose there are things in every denomination that are good, and things that are bad....because of this a persons choice as to which path he chooses is between God and the person walking the path. I think most of the world believes in God in one fashion or another, and I think the most important thing is the realationship one has with God on an individual basis. .........work out your own salvation with fear and trembling......think it says this somewhere *SMILE*

I agree that it is our personal relationship with God that matters... But I'd just like to add that this relationship must be based on truth, and not just something subjective... A lot of things claim to be true out there, and often they contradict one another, so there could only be one truth... If you are comfortable with your beliefs and are fully convinced that they are true, then good for you... But if not, and you want to find out the truth, then I suggest you continue seeking it... And if I may make a personal suggestion, if you truly believe that it is the Word of God, then try looking into the Bible... :)

Not sure I understand your comment completely but I assure you I have read the bible, which bible are you referring too? If my memory serves me correct Paul told one of the churches to work out there own salvation with fear and trembling,I may be mistaken but makes little difference because I am also pretty sure that God doesn't need a book to talk to his people.

I do believe so Mike, The relationship one has with God on an individual basis is the most important, we know ourselves more than others do thats why we know how closely we are related to God. True we have to work out our own salvation and maybe not bad too if given the chance we can share to the salvation of others if we're sure we're saved, (lol)

Respect is the key in order for people with different religions life peacefully without any conflicts... i was born Catholic... and i do not intend to shift to a different religion... and i respect those who are members of a diffferent faith... and when certain arguments arise when it comes to religious faith... i tend to shy away from that... because i know the other side would never consider the opinion of the other side... so no point in arguing...

That's because many people act as proselytes. The Churches themselves tend to develop certain sets of rules and norms applicable on what they usually have defined as their - CANONICAL TERRITORY and therefore to minimalize the potential influence of other religious beliefs. Respect? Can I smile? Islam is the only religion that accepts Jesus (Isa) and Moses (Musa) as great prophets and consequently as very important Holy Figures. The last decades showed me anything but respect.

I forgot to mention this: A Muslim friend of mine let me read Al-Quram (the holly book of Islam) and i found it so very compatible with the Bible (King James' version). Test the dimension of your respect. Would you let your daughter marry, for instance, a Muslim man?

hi there bing, i am a hindu by birth and i too believe that there is only one god and everyone has there own beliefs,i think all the religions as the rivers which unite in the great sea where sea is the supreme god,we are seeing tht god in different forms in different religions, but if we see tht other religion is suit for me to the path of god.there is no problem to change ur religion after all religions are only a part of community not to god

We do have to respect other people's beliefs. There is really no question about that.Debates involving religon should be avoided. there is no use doing that.

You are absolutely right! A Faith is a personal thing that should only be shared at home. At other places, WORK should be your religion.
