winter.....

I"m not too crazy about it either but i know it wouldn't be the same without having this change of season. Though if mother nature had a suggestion box I'd ask her to just make it cold after New Years day and skip the snow & only snow between Dec 24-Jan2nd.

I like winter a whole lot better than I like summer. I can't stand the heat, but I can put on enough clothes and blankets to stay warm in the winter. Besides, I enjoy snow and Christmas, and they both come in the winter!

christina1989, I think I can understand why you feel this way about winter, it isn't the temperature that is really getting into you. I believe it is as once said: “Winter must be cold for those with no warm memories”, so it will be especially blue for you around those times. You are not alone. As for me, perking up and staying positive minded does help during the extreme periods. In the words of Anne Bradstreet: “If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” It is just a season and it comes and goes, so live and experience it - for today is just another new day. Yeah, it's cold this week and the weather forecast says it will get colder. Thick clothes make us difficult to walk.I don't like winter either. But the snow is beautiful~~~

I quite like winter, its a very good excuse to stay indors and cuddle in front of the fire with a mug of tea. Its not very nice having to get out of bed in the morning when it is cold, I have the clock on the other side of the room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off, that way I don't stay in the warm bed covers. It is also nice to go for a nice brisk walk with the children, they do like to be outside having a walk. I like winter as well because although it is cold you can put more clothes on to keep warm, in the summer it can be hard to keep cool as there are so many clothes you can take off
