What the!!!! My account in ciao had been banned! They told me that I had been plagiarizing others work! Well in fact I didn't! I had been a writer for too long and I know the consequences of plagiarism. They couldn't even justify where I copied my reviews, that if by chance I copied them!

your reviews might sound very commercial and too good for them that they suspect it is not from your own work. Write to them and explain.

well it is my thought. It is not that but they are more knowledgeable and have some criteria to judge which they think fits them.

So does that mean you have no right to make reviews that are "too good"? I'm not saying anything against you but that is the truth.

Yes, I have nothing against you. Try to read the post below. He said I was banned because I had accumulated a large amount of earnings in my account.

I had around $39 there. I didn't really care about the money since I have been earning greater than that in other websites. But banning members without proper notice is not the right thing to do.

I feel really sorry for you. I never thought Ciao is a really strict business to get in to. I just joined recently, hoping I could make a "fortune" out of it. This is the first time I heard someone is banned from Ciao. Is it possible for you to create another account? Maybe you could try it again. And this time, hope that Ciao will not be banning you for something you never done before. And prove them your true worth of being a member of that site. Good luck and don't let this incident discourage you to do what you love doing. Keep it up!

Creating another account? No thanks. After reading through this forum http://ciao.darkbb.com/member-abuse-f3/ I have realized how cruel they are with the members. They have been using mean words against the members.

HI jhellie baby, This is most unfortunate. I'm also a member of Ciao but I have not written much there lately. I have been hearing a lot of members being banned recently. I have a feeling that they can't afford to really pay its members anymore. If you have other websites paying better money, then it's better to stick with those. Do you mind sharing the sites with me?

Sure. Send me a PM. I don't worry so much about getting banned after a member here in mylot gave me this link. http://ciao.darkbb.com/member-abuse-f3/

That was a sad news. I think were friends there. How about the money you earned there? Did they will send you that? And what about that other site that you said you can earn more? Can you share with us here what site is that?

I really didn't care about the money there. Well, I am a writer and I earn a lot from it. If you like writing then you can earn a lot from it, too.

The sad thing is that they couldn't even prove the allegations. I always check my works in www.articlechecker.com before publishing my reviews. A friend of mine said that they really ban accounts if you have accumulated enough earnings.

That happened to me, but I had actually unknowingly plagerized. I wrote them and explained the situation. They reinstated it minus my recipe. I think you should ask for proof.

I seriously think that you should write to them explaining your side. If you're not interested in writing reviews with them anymore at least clear your name. I don't think that the reason behind the cancellation of your account is because you've done so many reviews to them. I've seen Ciao members who plagiarize their contents and write more than 10 reviews per day but they didn't get banned. And sad as it may sound, these cheaters get away with it and worse they get paid for it. I know a member who cheats, she is also a member here at Mylot and she has created more than 160 reviews and I tell you she did get paid for most of it. Anyway, I hope you could at least clear your name to them. God Bless you!

Hi, jhellie.. I know how you feel. If you can browse one of discussions here in myLot, I was also banned in Ciao. It happened during the election day I think. I'm just lucky, maybe, that I get answered immediately, within 18 hours, and not 3 days of long waiting. At first, the reason was very vague. They said I plagiarized. So I emailed back and ask what exactly I plagiarized.. It was funny though... There are really members who report spammers, abusers and plagiarist in Ciao. There are many reasons from which you got banned. I hope they'll respond to you as soon as possible. It couldn't be about your earnings, for I know members who reached like $100 more. I also thought that I got banned because of that, but I only had $30 in my account back then. I thought that maybe Ciao was closing down, so banning members was their way of putting us out one by one. But a friend here in myLot said that Ciao has already been in the business for more than 10 months, so it's not likely to close down. Hm.. Maybe just maybe somebody reported you. Well, why don't you ask again? I've emailed them several times just to fight for my account. haha! ^^v

yeah.. thats something sad to hear.. and would be better if they give some time to get a little more research before banning a member. Because that means alo for the member that have been banned from the website.

I am really sorry to hear that you have gone through that. I hear of this type of thing happening off and on all over the place. Many of these companies use the article checker sites and they can return really vague results and these companies look no further then what the results say and typically do not take the extra 2 seconds to see how many word for word matches triggered the match up. I mean honestly how many different ways can you say that a Canon printer sucks? Some words are bound to match up every now and again.

Hi Jhellie_baby I'm sorry to hear that, especially that the reason they banned you is not true, maybe you should email them and clarify things...I'm a new member of ciao by the way and I haven't had the chance to review anything yet.
