I just thought of something interesting. You have to be at least 16 years old to sign up with mylot. However, you have to be at least 18 years old to have a Paypal account. So isn't this kind of contradicting each other? I guess the 16 year old could use a parent, an older family member's, or an older friend's but this is highly unlikely. So what do you think about the age limits on mylot and Paypal?

Obviously MyLot and PayPal are different companies, so there's no reason why they can't have different policies. I could imagine it would be a bit frustrating for a 16 year old to have to wait a couple of years before they can set up a PayPal account and get paid, but then again if they've been posting on MyLot fairly regularly in that time, they should have a nice amount of credit built up by the end of that time - a nice little treat for your 18th?

That is true. Paypal is an online payment processor dealing with money, and I guess most teens under 18 are not exactly what we would call responsible, while mylot is another social networking site such as myspace and Facebook. So I guess it works out. And I agree with you on that it would be a very nice treat for their 18th birthday.
