As a newbie, my knowledge of increasing the online earnings of he my lot account was limited to the fact that replying to and generating fresh discussions is a sure way. I read in a similar discussion that as a my lot member, we can either rate the discussion as positive or negative. Will it increse money in our account as well?

Yes rating discussions will fetch you money in mylot
.Read the discussion guidelines of mylot. It will clear your doubts.Rating discussions helps mylot to find out who are posting quality discussions.I have never rated a mylotter negative.

so that means each time we rate positive/negative to that discussion, we will gain money and also reputation?

Many experienced members here believe that rating with + , - and !
affects the earnings of both the rater and the receiver .
I am sure that the rating affects the star rating or user reputation ,
which in turn can affect the earnings of Mylot members :-)

It shouldn't. But I guess it does according to others.
Unless the myLot administrators read EACH and EVERY single post each day, they have NO way to know if a User was rated negatively legitimately or if it they were just rated down by someone who doesn't like them and follows them from discussion to discussion rating them down out of spite. It's not right for star ratings to affect earnings because of these factors. Therefore, I sincerely hope that myLot realizes this and does NOT base earnings on star ratings. Thank you for listening.
