Would you date a person that was shorter than you?

i would date also with someone shorter than me...i even think its sexy..or at least, i feel sexy , tall..

my 1st b/f was shorter than me and not veryattractive, but he was funny. ut I wouldn't do it again. my common law husband makes me feel small and lady like cause hes so tall

Wow... I could never have done that! That's just me though. I see couples all the time that are "mismatched"... isn't it funny that we think someone is mismatched just because the man is shorter? Who made that the standard anyway? I'm attracted to men who are really tall because it makes me feel protected I guess :P

This is a great question. I went on a date once with a guy I met on the internet. He was really cool on the internet, and I saw pictures of him, but he did not inform me that he was vertically challanged :). But, we went out and he was only like two inches shorter than me, but I felt really really weird. I don't think I would do that again. We are friends though and he's a sweet guy, there just wasn't chemistry. Now, my cousin on the other hand, she's 5'7" and her fiance is like 5'3". They look funny together, but at the same time, it's cute!

I probably wouldn't, because we would look really strange together! I'm barely 5'2", so there are not many men who are shorter than I am. Most of my boyfriends have had at least 6 inches on me.

I definitely would date someone shorter than me as height is not important to me. I have dated women in the past that were both shorter than me and taller. A person's height or weight should not matter when choosing to date someone. That is good that you two did not have a problem with people looking at you. It is ashame that people judge a person by their looks or height or weight.

I would never date a boy shorter than me. He should be at least as tall as I am. There should be visible how the man and who the woman is.

When I was single, I was very particular. I didn't have anything against short men, just younger men. Of course I did prefer men taller than me...but being too picky proved me dateless alot of nights....*LOL* Had I to do it all over, I would definitely check out some online dating services.

Given the fact that I am only 5'0" barefoot, I would have to say no. Can you imagine how tiny our children would be if we had any? *LoL*

I might sound shallow here but I don't think I could date someone who was considerably shorter than I was. If it was just a small difference I think it wouldn't bother me. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel a persons height has anything to do with what kind of person they are, it just happens to be my personal preference to have dated guys that were taller than I was.

Umm, so long as there wasn't much of a difference! My partner is a few inches taller than me but when i have my heels on i look the same height or taller than him, but it doesn't bother me!

I think that if you are happy, go with it. I would not date anyone that is shorter then me. I love to hug my husband and have my head on his chest, and feel him over me, it makes me feel good, safe, and protected. But I would never NOT date anyone that I was interested in because of their height. I just am not usually attracted to them. Their height is a immediate thing.
