Have you gotten any snow yet?

We had our first good snow fall last night. It's beautiful. I love the first snowfall of the season. It always gets me into the holiday spirit. We probably got at least a foot. I love how it makes everything look so beautiful and clean. But in a few days unless we get more snow, it's only going to look dirty from the cars, salt, and pollution. Do you get snow? Have you gotten any yet this season? Do you like snow?

we are supposed to get a storm over night tonight and get about 5 centemeters of snow and by the weekend it will be gone. i dont like snow because i have a lot of problems getting around as i walk with a cane and if there is a lot of snow, i find it hard to walk in (i have knee problems and work a few days a week, so i have no choice but to go out.)

I used to hate having to push the baby stroller in the snow, so I understand your frustration. It can wreak havoc on a person with mobility problems. I don't go out in it often, only when I have to. I just love the way it looks. I'm usually sick of it after a couple weeks. I'd love nothing more than to just have a foot of snow at Christmas, and then have it be spring a couple weeks later.

No, no snow for us yet. I did hear a brief report on tv that there was going to be some heavy snow by friday but I am not sure if it was for us or not. I really hope not as I am not much for the snow, it is hard to walk to school in it. Plus it gets so cold, so I am really hoping that it misses us again.

How much snow do you usually get there? We get a lot here in central NY. This foot or so that we got overnight is average, but sometimes we can get 3-5 feet in a day. It lasts until around March or April before it finally thaws for good. The record snowfall for this area is 192 inches, that's about 16 feet. I guess that would have been in a 24 hour period.

Well two years ago was the last time we had snow because last year we did not have a single flake! But when it does snow where I live we never get much so it is pretty good!

Our weather has been crazy. Two weeks ago we got about 4 inches of snow over night. Then last week the weather was in the 50's and 60's. By the end of the week it was even almost 70. Then a cold moved in and hasn't left. We have about 4 inches of snow now. We are supposed to get hit all day tomorrow and get 5-8 inches. I like the snow when it all sticks to the trees. For some reason though the cold is bothering me more this year then it ever used to before. I freeze waiting for the bus with my daughter. I'm not sure why it is bothering me so much, maybe I just need to get used to it again.

Some years it bothers me, some years it doesn't. It hasn't gotten extremely cold yet this year, and his hasn't started to bother me yet. But I was out in it for the first time today, and realized I don't miss driving in the winter. My van is filthy just from grocery shopping because of the slush in the road, and I'm out of windshield washer fluid already because of the filth, lol.

No snow here but it's been cold for Florida for sure. It's 67 right now and that is pretty cold for the middle of a sunny day. I bet you think I'm crazy. I moved from Philly to here about 25 years ago. You get cold easy after all those years of sun. I do miss the first snowfall, just so beautiful. The rest well that's why I moved LOL

I like snow for the first month or so of it, up until after Christmas. I am not sure I could move away from it though. I'd miss having a white Christmas, I'd miss the changing seasons. Plus, anywhere else you go, you have to contend with other disasters like hurricanes, tornados, or earthquakes. I'd rather take my chances with the snow.

Hey Kats! I live in NY too, but we haven't gotten any snow here yet! Not even a flurry! But where I live we haven't been getting much for the last few years. I live about 45 minutes from Manhattan in Yonkers, NY which is in Westchester County. We didn't have alot of significant snow last year. But, when we do get some it paralyzes us because we just don't have the equipment and aren't used to it like you guys are up where you live. We get a foot of snow and it's doomsday here!

Yes I've heard that. I remember a couple years ago the city was hit really hard and nobody knew what to do because you're not used to it down there. Snow is one of the easiest things to prepare for, so I find it odd that people go so crazy when they get a small amount.

Wow! A foot! We just have a dusting right now. but because of the temperature drop last night, the roads under the dusting of snow are a bit slippery. I like snow. I do, however, get rather tired of it after January. Then the days are long and dark. But I prefer the change of seasons to none at all.

Same here, I like snow for Christmas, but after that it can go away and be Spring. I also like the changing seasons. I love the beginning of Spring, Fall, and Winter.

We dont get snow where we live. But just a couple of hours away from our place in the mountains, it snows heavily and so its tourist rush time here so as to catch the first glimpse of this season's snow fall which could be any day. Yes I love the snow. Katsmeow I just saw your kids' picture. They are so cute and so are you. It must be so nice for your children, having many siblings to play with.

I don't think I could live anywhere without snow. I have to have snow around the holidays. If I lived somewhere that didn't snow, I'd have to go somewhere there was snow for Christmas at least. Thank you, I do enjoy having a large family, most of the time. I was an only child and always wished for a sibling as it got lonely.

No snow here yet. I am glad. I hate snow. We are supposed to get some in the coming weeks though. We normally don't get much accumulation when we do though.

I love snow for the first couple weeks, and on Christmas day. After that it can go away.

I love snow and wish we would get more of it. But we might get a dusting later in the winter or early spring. We haven't had a real snow since March of 1993. Now, that was a snow! We had about 19 inches and we were snowed in (or I was - by myself!) for 6 days. We don't have machinery around here to move the snow from the roads or salt to put on the roads since we live in a rural area - not close to a town or main highway.

Around here, everyone who owns a pick up truck slaps a plow on the front of it during the winter. Many of them plow driveways for part time money during the winter. Our biggest snowfall was 16 feet. That was in the 70's.

I have gotten a couple of snow falls already. The first was a very light snow. The second there was quite a bit more snow. I am not a big fan of snow. In the months of October to December it is not too bad but come January it is horrible. We can get about 2 or more feet of snow and the temperature drops big time.

We've had a few snowfalls before this too, but they didn't stick. We can get a few feet during the winter. The record is 16 feet, I think that was in the 70's. I love it up until Christmas, then it can go away.

The first snowfall has not come yet! My hometown is China. As you all know,in March,2008, the southern part of China encountered a disaster of snow and ice rain, which caused a big cost for the nation and people,so, even if i like the white world of snow, i don't want the disaster to happen again! god bless us!

Here in central NY we get those sorts of things all the time. We get ice storms and blizzards. Sometimes it wipes out our power for a few days. I remember the worst year so far it wiped out our power for 3 days and then everyone's basement was flooded when it melted. We're sort of used to it, so we can prepare against it.

It will be awhile before we get snow if we have any at all. I live in Texas so when we get maybe a 1/4 inch the whole city shuts down. It is crazy. I like it when we actually get something because I can probably get a day off from work.

Here in Israel we have now blue sky no rain a little cold at night but a lot of sun in the day.It must be very cold to have a snow here, so as for now we even can not think about it.

Oh yes, a good amount of it. Several inches. Lotsa icicles too. We're only gonna get more too. I do like the snow, I just don't really like the cold that inevitably comes with it, heh.

I live in the Philippines. We don't have snow but we also have happy Christmas Season. I only see snow on movie, read about it and in a Mall where they put snow flakes floating in the skating rim. My family and I visited China, we were hoping it will snow but it didn't. When my husband shared his snow experienced in New York, my kids and I were all interested! How I wish, I could give my boys and myself a snow holiday. It could be fun making your first snow ball.

Aw you're so lucky you already got snow. I am hoping for some snow soon, I love the snow. What really bothers me is when it is really cold like temperature for snow, but there is no snow. It's like; there is no point for it to be that cold unless there is snow, you know what i mean?
