flute pieces are stiff and I think keys need repadding

I own an Armstrong flute which is now about 20 years old. I play it weekly at church so it gets a lot of use. The pieces are really stiff to put together. Is there anything out there that I can use as a lubricant that won't harm the instrument? Also, I think it is time to repad the keys. Are there any quick fixes to this?
