hi guys! anybody who lives in cavite? especially dasmarinas, imus and bacoor? don't you just hate the traffic, especially in imus and bacoor?
i remember more than 10 years ago, when Aguinaldo Highway was just a two-lane highway. rush hour in the morning, noon and afternoon was just around 10 vehicles on the road, and everybody's crawling at a slow pace of 60kph. now, even at 9am or 2pm, the lightest volume of traffic would mean that you are already fast enough at 20kph, with frequent stopping.
that's why i decide to go out or return home at past midnight so that traffic would be light. but still, there is a rather moderate amount of vehicles on the road. such a waste of fuel when you cannot run at the recommended 60-80kph.
why is cavite traffic so nasty? are there solutions being prepared to improve traffic? what about the CALA NS, CALA EW and a parallel highway that was supposed to be finished by 2010???

Hi mazdakid!
I'm a residence of Cavite and I can attest or relate to your complaint. Driving in Aguinaldo Highway in weekdays and rush hour is always such a mess where you will be a loser if you don't have enough patience in your head. Maybe the big growth of Cavite both in industrial and residential development have already taken it's toll on the old and deteriorating road of Aguinaldo which remains the major road and passage way until now. Also the rise in vehicle volumes taking this road could be one of the distributing factor why there's always have a nasty traffic here in Cavite (remember Cavite had become one of the favorite relocation place). You should know the different short cuts that you could take to avoid the traffic in the main road.

Traffic is becoming nastier these days because of Christmas which is fast approaching. I do not live in Cavite, but, I have now experienced how traffic can be in Manila these days. I need to wake up early though.

That is true. Anyone who lives in cavite is not new to it. So, your time must be too advance so that you won't be late for appointment. People in dasma area uses a different route instead.
