What is community point in Ciao?

I am new in this and I an trying to find out how it works.
I don't understand why community points are important. I have 803 community points, what does it mean?

Hi. Actually, it represents your status in Ciao. If here in mylot, your status or reputation is star, to them is community points. You get more points when you have many reviews and ofcourse many votes from the site.
