Spouse and lieing

What would you do if you started finding out that alot of things you were told by your spouse before you were married, were not 100% true after you got married? I really love it when they all of a sudden don't remember saying that! What was the point in lieing in the first place. Has this happened to you and what would or have you done?

I have caught people in lies for no apparent reason. I really don't get it. I think they just think they are protecting you from something or they just want to have that secret little part of their life. I have actually called someone on a cell phone when I was watching them pull out of a bar. I said "Hey, what are you doing?". They said "Oh, I'm just leaving my Dad's." Now I knew that was a flat out lie, and to this day I still don't get it. I called them out on it, and they said, well I stopped by here for one right after I left my dad's. I still don't understand why people lie about stupid stuff that don't even matter. I try not to lie, and if I have to it better be well worth my while. Not just for some silliness that you didn't want the other person to know. Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day!

I know, it's just plain nonsense and doesn't make sense over what people do lie about. It's so stupid and petty and as we all know, the truth does eventually come out. Then again, like you pointed out, they always have some kind of explanation for a cover up to cover up that cover up, if you know what I mean. I, to, do not lie, don't like to, and no need in lowering myself back down to the adolescene ages here. I know some people, seeming this is second nature to them, believe whatever they say no matter what.
