Hi! Those songs are really meaningful and upbeat. If you listen to that and your on your window pane seeing christmas lights, christmas trees, lanterns and santa claus you will feel that christmas spirit is just around. Keep listening to wonderful Christmas songs.

My favorite is " Walking In The Air" which came from the 1982 cartoon classic " The Snowman" The original song version in the movie was sung by "Peter Auty" But the single release was sung by former Choir boy " Aled Jones", Both versions are very beautiful. More recently Celtic Woman singer Chloe Agnew did a very great version of this song and the band Nightwish did a cover of this song as well, it's very different from the other versions that was released but still a great cover and one of my personal favorites.

I would have to say that I have a few favorite Christmas Songs. It's the time of the year that most songs put a smile on your face. I'm a fan of I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas (even though I'm not a real fan of snow), This Christmas, anything from the Temptations Christmas CD or the Destiny Child Christmas CD. I think I"m going to start playing the Christmas music early this year. Have a great holiday season ;)

There are several songs that touch my heart but my favorite, I think, is Jingle Bells. I love Oh, Tannenbaum and I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas and a bunch of the more relaxing Christmas songs but I also love the silly ones. Grandma Just Got Run Over by a Reindeer is one of my favorite silly songs!

My favourite Christmas song is Wizzards "Well I wish it could be Christmas everyday" It just gets me into the spirit of it all. I like Bing Crosbys "White Christmas" also.

My favorite Christmas song is a song that I sang as a little girl growing up with my grandparents. The song was I'm getting nothing for Christmas. I can still remember running through the house I'm getting nothing for Christmas mommy and daddy are mad. The song is cute and follows the tale of a little girl and all the mean little things she had done that she was sure would keep her from getting anything for Christmas. I also enjoy Frosty the Snowman and Ruldolph. These two songs are timeless and have been around for ages. These are two that I now share with my own son. I am sure they will stand the test of time in my household. I have to throw in one off the wall song that I have found I liked beyond my childhood. This song is humerous and sang by Jeff Foxworthy. The name of the song is the Redneck Chirstmas song I belive. Either way it is the redneck version of the 12 days of Christmas. This is probably my husbands favorite Christmas song. Grandma got run over by a reindeer is also pretty funny. If looking for timeless Christmas music Frosty and Ruldolph are the way to go. If you want something funny to laugh at check out The Redneck Christmas or Grandma got run over by a reindeer. Either way you will be belting out tunes in no time!

Nice post. There is the history from your granparent to your son. I am sure that songs will soon be enjoyed by your son on his coming generation. Its really overwhelming if songs have been preserved for the next generations to enjoy. Be blessed

Thank you for your reply. I enjoy passing on great things from my own childhood to my own son. He loves the Christmas Holiday and says it is one of his favorites so we are taking right off with the Christmas songs.

My favourite would be Santa Babe, that just gets me into a very good and relaxed mood each time when I heard it. It was a fun song. I also like the others, but they don't really get me in a really good mood *laughs*.

For me it would have to be The Pogues fairytale of New york. It is a song that my whole family loves. And my favourite traditional song has to be Away in a manger my daughter done a solo of this song when she was in Nursery, the only child who done a solo out of her whole class, she done really well as she was just four at the time and when i hear it i am always reminded of this.
