I try to maintain the speed limit, but never go more than 5-10 miles over the the posted speed.

i will admit that i usually go about 5 mph over the limit. Not always, though. It depends on where I am, and whether I am on an interstate or city streets. There was a time just this past weekend where I did around 15 mph over, but it was actually because i was on an interstate and was actually being over-run by every other car on the road and keeping up with the flow of traffic was the safest thing to do.

I abide by it as i dont drive and cant walk that fast! My boyfriend always does with me in the car but i'm not too sure if he does when i'm not! I'm always sitting there saying why are we going sooo slow? and putting my foot on the imaginary pedal to make us go faster! I also have a break pedal my side as well! lol

My husband tries to push the pedal when he can. One time there were 3 cars in front of us doing at least 60 in a 55. We got pulled over. Hubby said, well they were going at least 60. The trooper said, "Yes sir, and you were pulling up the rear goin 63". He let him off with a warning.

Hubby is getting better with his leadfoot, but he has a long way to go.

I try to, there are some times when I may go just a little over the limit, but usually I stay within range.

I generally go about 5 mph over the speed limit, depending on where I am. In some residential areas I know that even 5 mph will get you a ticket, so I slow down to the actual speed limit. I got my first speeding ticket ever this past summer, and it was because I assumed the speed was the state's speed limit and did not pay attention to the fact that the particular stretch of the expressway I was on had a reduced speed because of city traffic. Now I am even more careful than ever!

I have this crazy method where I try not to go over 7 miles per hour over the speed limit. There is a part of me that thinks I might get pulled over if I go 10 miles per hour over the speed limit, but the police officer is not going to bother me for 7. I'm not sure if that's true, but that's what I try to stick to. I did get pulled over once, and that was for going about 12 miles over the limit. I got a warning, but I've still been pretty careful ever since.

I'm a lead-foot all the way. When I started driving my dad said "The speed limit is 55, but everyone usually does 60, and the cops wont pull you over unless your above that." So, I do AT LEAST 5 over. I do go slower in residential areas because of the kids and all. I used to get pulled over and given warnings all the time. I haven't gotten a ticket in forever...

I am careful about the speed limit. The last thing I want is a ticket. If I catchg myslef going 5 miles over, I slow down. I'm constantly reminding hubby to slow down.
