Many of my friends lost their jobs this year, I think I will cheer them up. I will invite them to my small apartment. I'll make dinner and we all exchange gifts. We do it the old way. maybe we will make something for each other as a gift. Like the old, old days ( I was'nt born then) when parents made a toy or mother knitted a sweater for christmas gift. Think I will do that way to cheer my friends. Yes, the economy is bad, the job market is horrible. We all have to make ends meet but there is no reason for us to be gloom and doom. Christmas is a time to joy, to cheer, to give. Why can we each other good little happy times. It may not be much but better then nothing. right?

I think your idea is a great one! The Christmas season has become so commercialized but that doesn't mean that you have nothing to celebrate if you're short on funds. Christmas, to me, is about the celebration of the birth of Christ and the love of God and family. I always enjoy spending time with family and friends more than I enjoy opening gifts. It's nice that you want to do something to cheer up your friends and I hope you have a great time!
