Hmmm, I have never been such explorer of exotic food. I have not tried it so I cannot really say. What I see on TV that I may throw up are fried crickets. I cannot consider them as food. I cannot imagine how it tastes like but I know for sure that they are not sumptuous. Another thing is you can not make me eat Balut! I find it really disgusting. Balut is a fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein and hearty snack - meaning eating lots of it may cause you to have high blood pressure. These are one of the possible list of my foods-to-avoid. I am contented to what I eat and what my mom prepares at the table for us. Now, I am startvin'

I don't like buro. The fermented rice dish that old people love. I tried really hard to like it because I don't like it when I don't like a food! I want to be able to eat with everyone! haha Thanks for commenting in my discussion! again in a single day haha

I know that 'Buro' recipe. My parents are both Ilocanos so they sometimes eat at home. It smells like rotten fish. But you will be amazed how they enjoy eating it. They sometimes eat it with fried eggplant. They want me to try it but the smell does not entice me.

Hahaha, yeah my co-student nurses always tell that it's like you are drinking an amniotic fluid from a mom who just gave birth. Anyway, I have also checked some articles that there are other countries who eats monkey brain. Even field rats. I cannot believe that these animals can be eaten. For me, chicken, beef, and pork are the only edible meat I know. :)

I think I'd have to say that I don't have any aversion to any food in the Philippines. I think Filipino cuisine is the best and I've loved them since my childhood. I even prefer eating to restaurants with authentic Filipino cuisine than foreign foods.-

me and my other siblings cannot eat pork or chicken dishes once we saw them killed in front of us before they prepared it.. its a psychological thing, whenever we saw a pig or chicken being killed then cooked for us, we cant really swallow a single piece or even taste it. the memory of the animal flashes back and it really kill our appetite.. weird, isnt! i eat balot but i give awat the chick for others to eat.. specially when chick is big and already hairy.. hehehe i feel it will stuck in my esophagus!! hahaha LOL! happy mylotting!!
