Ricky pointing and Hayden struggling. Why?

I have been watching the aussies play in the recent Indian series and in this home series. i find that Ricky and Hayden should play well. otherwise they stand a chance to fall to low scores and may have a chance to lose. They are very senior and have to lead from the front. Do you agree with my view? When are they going to get form?
