Twenty percent of Africa's children will die before the age of Five. I have seen recently released report which stated this comment. The statement was part of a series of reports that demonstrate the horrible conditions currently facing children throughout Africa. Every day, 30,000 children die from a combination of disease- infected waten and malnutrition. Water-borne diseases are claiming one child every three seconds. These diseases are the major killers of small children in Africa. In addition to those lives being claimed for lack of clean water and malnutrition, diseases such as AIDS, Malaria, pneumonia and typhoid fever are killing record numbers as well. I just want to raise this topic to know all of you, what is the real life in Africa..

this is truly a devastating news..sometimes i receive forwarded emails from friends that contains real picture of babies, kids, families..in africa. its really a pity that until today these things are still happening. i know africa also produces good gems like diamonds so its very ironing to know that they have those kinds of situations while in fact their country has all the money to spend for them. now i feel sad..

These african countries having enough money to get out from these situation. But these all countries are not well organised, and totally corrupted. That is the reason why these problem still persits.

Hi there Jad! That's really sad. I hope that the countries who have extra resources or funds can help them by providing a source of clean water.

yes, it is required to collect funds for these countries. not for these countries, for the NGOs who are really working there. so, keep in mind whenever you donate something, make sure that you are donating for the right cause. And your money will be used for valid reasons only.
