Who do you think the recession will hurt more ?

The rich or the poor ?.This may seem like a rhetorical question but I will attempt to present an interesting view friend of mine presented in a discussion we had this morning.His view was that the poor are accustomed to living on minimal resources and therefore are well positioned for a recession.The rich on the other hand are not so conditioned and as such would have a hard time without their luxuries.
Would the rich find it easy to adjust to a situation in which they had to take public transportation and rub shoulders with commoners ?.Would they find turkey neck as smooth going down as caviar? Could they drink water and be as satisfied as champagne ?
Just an interesting spin on things ,maybe they could ,maybe the recession wont go that far

well you did have a nice conversation with your friend. but im not sure if the poor will survive this crisis easily too. i mean they're poor so that means they're already having difficulty living in this world even when recession wasn't yet here. so recession would be a double difficulty for them. rich i believe will survive. i mean, they will have to sacrifice on their luxuries but still they will be able to survive.

we will be having a depression worse than 1929 everyone will be hurt take 5- 10 years to recover The solution is mixed use development and mass transport and jobs
