Mothman.. have you heard of him

Mothman - This is taken near the center of town where this humungous statue of the legendary mothman stands..tourist come here to see this and buy memorabilia.. I am not a native of WV. .but it amazes how many people come to Pt. Pleasant for this reason.

In Point Pleasant wv the mothman is seen to be quite a real character..this creature appeared half man half moth and terrorized the residents of Pt Pleasan in the late 60's .. At the same time lots of strange things happened.. like the collapse of the Silver Bridge which occured around 1969 and the jailhouse catching fire.

This is really bizarre. I've never heard of the Mothman before but I will do some research now. Which state is WV?

Hi: WV is West Virginia; and the picture was taken on location..just recently ..although i hadn't adjusted the camera till now..I got my digital camera 2 years ago and didn't start using it till recently so the date still reads 2006..but really it was taken this week on a pretty chilly day. If you go to http://pointpleasantwv.org there may be some links to the story of mothman..I am not sure..I have to take a quick check;)

Now the truth ..I don't know but I do know it happened in the 60s that many Point Pleasant WV folks claimed to have seen this creature..Also that many strange events happened following this strange appearance..There is a statue..which you can see that I attached of the statue of this creature. Busloads come to Point Pleasant for this reason to learn more of this thing..
