Are there any mystery shoppers or merchandisers in mylot? I have been doing this kind of work for about two years now. I enjoy the work, for the most part, because of the flexibility of scheduling. However, as with anything, there are drawbacks to it as well. Since I started doing it I have never met another mystery shopper. This is normal because of the low profile that must be maintained to be successful. I would love to hear from anyone that is also doing this kind of work.

A mystery shopper is someone who goes into an assigned store and acts like a customer. Most of the time you have to be discreet while gathering information about several areas in the store so that the employees don't realize they are being "shopped". Then you fill out a form online about your visit. Companies want to know how customers are being treated in their stores and this is one of the ways they find out. Merchandising is different, in that you do not hide your identity. You are usually servicing one product in a store. This will sometimes involve setting up displays, or doing inventories and other related tasks.
