My mom totaled her car tonight!

My mother was on her way home from work tonight and a deer jumped out in front of her car. She said she was about 10 feet from him when he jumped out. It pretty much totaled her car. He was a big guy I guess. She is fine, but the car looks horrible. Have you ever hit a deer or other animal while driving? Did it do a lot of damage or just a little?

thank goodness your mom is o.k. they can really do some damage to a car. i have never hit one thank heavens but my youngest son did right in the city limits of the little town he lives in. it did quite abit of damage to his truck.

Oh, how terrible, thank God your mother is okay. I bet she was really shaken up. The only thing I have ever run over is a bird. There were a bunch of birds in the street eating crumbs. Usually when a car approach the birds will fly away, well there was one bird that wanted to get the last crumb, and I ran over it. I felt so bad. When I looked through my rear view mirror, I saw the other birds gathered around him/her.

The other day I swear I thought I was going to nail a group of Turkey Buzzards. I was driving along a curvy road and there were SIX of them picking at some road kill right in the middle of the road. They did not move until I was about 5-6 feet from them. Scared the mess out of me! These things are huge.
