The Big 3 and the Private Jets Saga....

Well, after all the outrage and the scolding they received from Congress, it seems the Big 3 have rethought their notions. Now 2 of the three have decided to sell a couple of private jets. (yippee?) Only trouble is that sale would still leave them with anywhere between 3 and 5 jets!!!! No wonder their business is failing! They don't have a clue about ANYTHING! This is a far cry from Lee Iaccoca asking for a govt loan all those years back, and stating he will take only $1 in salary for that whole year. The loan was paid back with interest. He was a man with some honor. But these people today are just so obsessed with their privilege they haven't a clue about any of the most basic parts of life! When they were asked by our Representatives if they would be willing to take a $1 salary to help their companies through this time, they all refused -- or did one of them agree? I know two said they were fine where they are -- no pay cut. Should they all be fired as part of any bailout or restructuring?

Fire them! They need to have to live like the rest of us! Who needs so many jets to travel around? They should model their companies after the pattern of Gov. Palin. Sell the jets and travel commercial! But, apparently, they above living like plain old folks! One of the guys did say he'd take $1 a year for his salary. It was the guy from Chrysler.

Thanks -- I thought one of them had said yes, but I couldn't remember from the time I heard it til the time I got a chance to make the discussion! Yes, I think there is no reason for them to need all those jets, and probably no reason for them to need even one - but they have small FLEETS of jets!!

they all need to take $1 for pay for the whole year and then get rid of all the jets they have. time to fly business class. they want the money, they need to show the American people what they are willing to do to ensure that they companies they are head of stay in business.

Yes they should be fired. Mismanagement was one of the main causes for the problems and get rid of all the jets.
