Sometimes it is so hard to respont to all comments

Sometimes I found out really difficult to answer all comments I got in discussions. I try to be honest and to respond to as many comments I got as possible, but sometimes when there is lots of comments it is really hard. So lately I try to read at least all of them and to respond to my friends comments and the ones which interested me.
Can you tell us if you always respond to all comments you got no matter what? I know it would be polite, but sometimes it is just too much time consuming and I want to read also new discussions, of course

It's certainly not necessary to reply to everyone who responds. Only comment on responses if they make a significant contribution to the discussion and you have something to add to what they say.
The Guidelines do say that we should not merely say thank you to everyone regardless. I know that many people of certain cultures feel it impolite not to (and I suppose that in a real life discussion or debate one might take the time to do so) but MyLot is a different situation from a face-to-face discussion (and is international), so it should not be considered rude not to comment on all responses.

yes , i agree with you, but that is the only way we active here. someone post a very long discussion here, and sometimes you have to take much time to finishing reading it if you like it and want to post a commentto it, which is so tiring for us. i also think that we should not be considered not polite not to post comment on the responds , for sometimes we have other works to do or there are many other responds, and we are responding to them , which will make us forget the rest.

I was trying to make a distinction between a 'response' and a 'comment'. Obviously, if we have nothing useful to add to a discussion, we don't (or shouldn't) respond to it. The same should apply if someone responds to one of our discussions and we are undecided whether we should comment on the response.

I think I have never had a case when I could answer all comments in my discussions, simply because that there are informative comments which provoke us to answer, and there may be comments which are just comments, you know, that simply do not give you any ideas on what and how to answer. So it depends on the person posting those comments:I am sure that some users browse MyLot to look for a discussion to leave a post in, and once they have done it they do not bother to come back and to check responses they get. I mean that it is really fine if you do not have anything to add to a comment..then just leave it. In any case, everybody gets rewarded in the end: you get your share for a discussion, and other people get their share for their comments.

I always try to comment on the responses to my discussions... and most of the time... even if there are like 80 + of them... i am able to comment on all... even if it takes me like a week... this is one of the reasons why i do not start a lot of discussions... since i want to concentrate on the one that i started... and would only start another one when i am finish commenting on all the responses...

yes it is very difficult to mylot when you dont find the discussions of our interest and sometimes it happens that i would really feel boring to mylot when i found i have no discussions under my interest and i would really feel difficult to answer those and i would sometimes just take a break and rest or do some other work instead.
it is really difficult to respond to the discussions which is not of our interest and we need to think more and hence i would try to see for other discussion which would be of my interest and write more.
if not i would try to start the discussion of my own but that is even more difficult as we need some thought or idea in my mind and then only i think it is possible to start our own discussion.

I only respond to topics I can relate and topic am interested to participate. I would responds to comments when needed to but as much as we want to respond to all comments we would be running out of time really so I sometimes select few. Really depends on you and time available.

Of course, I am commenting back to all of my responders irrespective of the number of responses. I think it gives immense pleasure to those who replied to our discussion and at the same time we can earn money from that. So replying to others gives us two advantages, earning money and reputation. If you get more responses then you can take your own time to respond. It is not necessary to reply back immediately. So I think our politeness will give good reward to us.

I try to complete the cycle of conversation on mylot. The best days are those that I can start discussions, engage in discussions, and check back for additional comments. Full participation takes time, but the results are rewarding.
That said, if I can't do it all, I do my best to pay attention to, and answer comments. What a profound joy to find someone felt my discussion worthy of continuing the thread.

yes, sure, i always leave comments to all responses which the ones respond in my discussions.I think i am very glad to leave my comments there.I think it is a good way to communicate with the friends who respond us in the thread.even though i got about 100 responses, i also left my comments to them.It is a good habit to me.I think it is also a good way to earn on mylot with posting coments to the responses.lol
