My First Sale

United States

Just when all seems bleak, I made a sale. Actually 2 sales. I sold my lap quilt and an Alien yarn buddy. There is hope. I was so upset, I was thinking of closing my shop. Now, I can keep it open. Well, off to replace my stock.

Congratulations, I am glad you did not give it. It takes time sometimes to see a profit.

It was hard not giving up. But, I am glad I stuck with it. Even if this is not really profitable, even a little bit helps.

Just a little bit of activity with your shop and now you've picked up so positive momentum. Congrats on your sales! Keep that ball rolling.... list a new item one day and promote it! You'll be able to find threads in the promo forum for "new items", or "just listed". Make a comment about the item the first person listed and list your new item. Don't give up... there are buyers out there that would love to have your creations in their homes. There may be times when your shop is sluggish or looking bleak, but you have just realized that your work is commercially acceptable... it's a pretty darn good feeling, isn't it? Congrats again, and may there be many more sales around the corner!!

Thank you. Even though it was a friend, I still feel like it was a great sale. She could have just given me the money. She didn't have to buy anything. Looking forward to the promo this weekend.

Congratulations. I know how you feel. We're having problems keeping a thrift shop open right now. Things have to get better soon.

Things will get better. Especially for a thrift shop. People still "new" things, they just don't have as much money, so thrifts are a fantastic idea.
