The best laptop for me is Sony Vaio, I used to have one but it was a long-long time ago and now I own another brand since Sony Vaio is to expensive for me. The best laptop for it's durability, I choose IBM-Lenovo X series. And the best value for money laptop I prefer Acer, since I owned one for almost 3 years without any trouble at all.

I use a Sony Vaio. It comes with an Intel Centrino Duo processor and was "Designed for Windows XP" (or so it says on the sticker). 1.8GHz, 1GB ram and 104GB hard drive. I purchased a separate 500GB external hard drive for all my movies and music and Wacom Bamboo pad for my digital artwork. I use this lovely setup for graphic design jobs. I find comfort in the portability and power this computer has. That's why I use it.

Well, I guess, it is a matter of choosing the needs you have for you to address when using laptop. I remember my cousin listing down the kind of applications she needs before purchasing the laptop, and she feels her MacBook addresses those needs.

for durability and after sales service, toshiba and lenovo are i think the preferred brands here in our country for windows based units. of course, for graphics enthusiasts or those into the "form factor", apple will be their choice.
