Both. You "successfully" failed as intended.

First thing off, I'm not even sure if there's anything such as "trying to fail". You don't have to do anything to fail; and if you don't do anything, it's not called trying. To make my point a little clearer, let's take an exam for an example. To fail, you don't even have to study anything and just relax all day. In that sense, that's not "trying" to fail because you're not doing anything. So, my case in point is that nobody needs to "try" and fail because they fail when they just don't do anything.....

Failed- To solve it, break it down. Failing is the goal. You succeeded in failing, meaning you reached the goal of failing. However you wanted to fail, not succeed, so therefore you failed.

that is the same as saying not making a choice is still a choice not to choose. one can choose t ofail and be sucessful at it, and it that is the goal, tehn one has met the goal intened in a sucessful way. which came first the chiken or the egg? one who choses to fail at something on purpose, may need a hobby LOL. what if someone fails accendtly on purpose? does that count? or is there such a thing. what if someone just says tehy want to fail because they really want to succed, but they lack self confidence say so, so it is easier to say they want to fail, but they really dont? hm I could go on and on... guess I need a hobby too...

good he have succeeded in his mission . if one want to fail that is very difficult and it is said good. as he has tried to fail and succeeded in it it means he have been successful in his terms but he have failed in something but it doesn't matter as what he wanted was to loss.
