A lot of people like to read books, believe it or not. Books are easier on the eyes than a computer screen, they don't have to be plugged in or recharged. They don't break down, and they're a heck of a lot cheaper. You can get more information from a book than you can from almost anything else. Any more questions?

I totally agree with you. You can get so much more information from books than anything else. I love reading books.

I love to read books. I enjoy the whole process...the weight of it, the smell of the paper, carrying and holding it; having a bookmark. It's all part of the journey. I've always viewed books as the greatest transporter of all.

Laptops don't make for very interesting reading. Just a serial number and some other stuff on them. CDs are pretty dull, too, unless you read the inlay card that comes in the box. Books are much more interesting. I can't get my books to go in the CD drive on my desktop, though. It won't close. I just don't get it... ;P

I don't really think a laptop is comparable to a book, especially in price. You'd be lucky to get a decent laptop for under £300, whereas books can be easily picked up for £2. I'd say I have a pretty much even mix of books and cds, possibly more cds and dvds than books though. I buy books quite a lot, but often sell the ones that I don't think I want to read again.

Apart from the fact that books are a hell of a lot cheaper than computers, they're also much easier on the eyes (I get eyestrain from the amount of time I'm spending on computers lately - that doesn't happen with books). They're also more portable, won't break down, and don't use any electricity. They're also decorative - nothing makes a room look more like a home to me than seeing the walls lined with bookshelves. I've even got bookshelves going up the side of the stairs.

Probably convenience is the main factor in reading book. Even children when starts their studies books as main source of reading not lap top or CD. Book is light weight, you can read it in public transport in standing condition also. I have seen many during daily peak hours reading books in public transport to pass their time as well as to divert there feeling of discomforts in an overcrowded transport vehicle by diverting mind elsewhere. No doubt laptop or CDs are good for reading but only applicable for reading in comfortable place.

To be honest, i find it easier to read a book and my eyes won't get tired easily like reading long from the computer. I like to lie down on my bed and read, so book is more convenient for me.
