If you can go back in time and prevent a great catastrophe. Which one would you prevent? I'd prevent Whatever it is that caused the conflict in Darfur. I dont know if you guys heard about this, but for a long time now, people are dying due to genocide in Darfur. I've been researching about it but it's still not that clear to me what really caused the conflict. Some say it's due to global warming. THe different tribes have their "territories" where they have water supply for their own use. And when global warming imposed it's presence, some of the tribes were driven to go look for other water supplies which were in other tribes' territories, causing feuds to erupt between these tribes. And so the genocide started. Some sources also say this is due to religious differences. Well. whatever the cause, that's what i'd like to go back to and prevent.

I will just prevent sinning. So when I die, God will be please to know my effort that I did tried so hard not to commit sin. Maybe with that, He will accept me in heaven.

Wow. That's a good idea. Sinning really is a great big catastrophe for humans.

Why would you eradicate sin? This is something that differentiates who goes to Hell and Heaven. Being an atheist, in the eyes of almost every religion I am going to Hell, but I have accepted my own thoughts.

Oh I really came to know about Darfur here in your post! I really didn't know that. That is so sad for the people there. I given the power to turn back the hands of time I'd also would do as the necessary preventive measures to avoid that ganocide in Darfur. Tsk!Tsk!Tsk1

I think I would like to go back in time and stop the Great war or otherweise known as World War 1. This war was to be the war to stop all wars, it didn't so perhaps if it hadn't happen there wouldn't have been any more wars! Doubt it very much, but there you go it would be nice to see if that had been the case

I'd like to prevent George W Bush being elected as president of the United States of America. If I could just get a few more people on the democratic side to get off their rumps and go vote then everything would be so much different right now. If things were awesome, then I don't think Obama would have had used that "Change" slogan, though.

If I could go back in time I would try to prevent 911! The world trade centre buildings, they were truly historic and I never got to see them! All those people that perished! If those two buildings could be restored, I would definitely go for that! Andrew

hey babes how are you did you have a good xmas and new year at your mum and dads? Fantastic question btw! I didn't know that much about darfur before this I think I would prevent or at least try to moderate and control the distruction of the earths rainforests because of the global impact for the earth and all it's inhabitants. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6% and experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years. Nearly half of the world's species of plants, animals and micro organisms will be destroyed or severely threatened over the next quarter century due to rainforest deforestation. If managed properly, the rainforest can provide the world's need for these natural resources on a perpetual basis so it is definately something i would influence prevent if i could. We seem to like to bring things to the point of extinction before we really step up and put plans in place to prevent it.

HAHAHA. This is easy, but also difficult coz when one thing that obious pops up in my mind, another thing pops up again. For sure I want to stop Bush from having the wars that should not happen. And this global recession is very very trrible, so I want to prefent it. However, which event to fix to stop it?

A bright idea thought out by a few FILTHY RICH BUSINESS MEN back in England over 80 years ago.

I would go back in time and prevent the time where I beat up someone because he took my lunch. I also knocked him out cold.

I would have prevented the Civil War in the United States because in all reality all we lost were our own family members for no real reason... The common man was a pawn, much like in today's society, and was forced to do the willing of a minority of well-to-do men from both North and South.
