I would love to-to Europe. But we inquired...it will cost us around $7000 each. Even if we will not bring along the kids...$14000 for me and my husband is impossible... My husbands brother Geri is very lucky to be working on a cruise ship. He just started last July and his pictures taken in Monaco,Monte Carlo,Barcelona,Rome,Italy and the Bahamas are to die for. His job is not so hard, like he is assinged to customer service. Basically, he gets paid for being on a cruise ship. The only thing is he misses his wife and son so much and he will be away until April 2009. I wish I will be able to sometime in this lifetime.

If you take a cruise for Asia, that will be good. It is cheaper and there are many choices here. I see that many crew members are very happy, though they get to go home only after working for 7 months or so.

Your husband's brother Geri is a very lucky man in his career. He gets to cruise around the Mediterranean Sea and over the Atlantic Sea to the Bahamas. Working in customer services must be not too demanding and really enjoyable. It is not like being a member of cabin crew working for an airline. Planes are quick to they get time at home. Cruise ships are slow so he doesn't get home for months. I looked at some cruise itineraries that go to Cartagena de Indies in Colombia however I wouldn't see very much in a single day. I would have to pay a very high supplement to get a single cabin. Mostly the prices are based on double occupancy. I couldn't afford to go a 14 night cruise to the Caribbean, the Caribbean coast of South America and Central America.
