That's what I call myself, a certified workaholic. But I wonder what would really make a person a workaholic? Is it the number of hours you spend doing actual work? I render overtime a lot, I sometimes even bring some work home, I think about the things I have to do a lot (even when I am not at the office), I even dream about my work!!! I don't know if its the stress or if is a sickness that my boss has and I got infected with. Would you consider yourself to be a workaholic? Does anybody of you know of a cure maybe?

I guess you are right, being a workaholic is not just doing the tasks I have to complete at work. Even when I am home and I am not thinking about my job, I seem to be always looking for something to do. Sometimes my husband would get irritated when we plan to have a relaxed evening watching movies and I would just start tinkering on something hehe

The best definition of a workaholic for me is: Someone that would rather be at thier work than to live a life
The best cure is to leave the workplace when your day is over and forget all about it. Otherwise you may work yourself to an early grave

I would rather be with my family but for now I need my job... you are right, I should leave right after office hours, after all, we don't paid for the overtime. I tend to stay a few more hours after work to finish up some tasks, but I no longer think about it once I leave the office.
