My friend daughter, are sick and just make her injection because the doctor say its virus, she have a fever but not to high. After an hour she's just doctor give her injection she take shower, I'll told to her mother that is not good, let the sweat come out because its mean the drugs effecting that why she sweat a lot. I know the doctor can advice taking a bath when our fever to high its help to make fever low but in her case is not. I'm concern for what the effect on her health maybe not now but when she's old. Do you think taking shower when you have a fever is Good or Bad?

For carefulness I do not agree to shower when a baby is fever. My son is 2 years old now, he had several fever in the past 2 years but I have not take him to hospital. Because most of children's fever is caused by virus and western medicine does not work. I firstly select a traditional Chinese medicine for him if the fever is not a high(38.5 degree). If the fever is higher than 38.5 degree I'll add one western medicine to degrade the fever. 3~6 days later he will be all right. (Of course I have studied TCM for 11 years and studied western medicine for 3 years.) haha!

Whenever I have fever, I always find ways first to bring the heat down then after reducing the heat for a few minutes, I will then take a bath to cool myself. Taking a shower while you are having fever is bad because your inner and outer temperature don't match. If she get an injection because of a virus, I think it is wise to rest for a while then done herself with a cold towel instead of taking a bath. You'll never know where she get the virus so she needs to be extra careful. Sweating sometimes is not bad at all.

Fever is merely a symptom that you have an infection in your body. An antibiotic injection is one that will combat the infection. Sweating is merely the reaction of the body when the temperature is high. The fever is not "sweated out". Ibuprophen or acetiminiphen can reduce fever. A cool shower can also help to lower your body's temperature. I don't see anything wrong with taking a shower. A warm shower can help to ease body aches. The fever will finally leave when the infection is gone. Not when it is "sweated out".

In my opinion, no ,taking a shower (cold or hot) will not make you sicker. You can use lukewarm water to bathe and not linger in the water for long.

I don't think it makes a difference in terms of health. It may just be more of a comfort thing. Sometimes a good, long hot shower is refreshing if you're not feeling well. Or if it's a bad fever and you need to cool off, you might want to take a cooler or cold shower. But I think as long as you dry yourself off and don't subject yourself to extremes, you'd be fine taking a shower with a fever.
