PTC Links sending trojan virus?

I was wondering if anyone else has been having any issues with clicking on links and having thier antivirus soft ware poping up with a threat alert? In recent days I have been clicking on severl links ( as always) and I keep getting my antivirus soft ware poping up. I do daily updates with my avg and scans too. I am not even sure what sites they are, as I click on several at a time. I use firefox for my PTC account and gmail for the email there. Here I use Intenet Expoler and my regular email so I know it isnt comming from here at mylot.
any thoughts would be appriciated greatly.

yes, this has happened to me several times already. its a good thing my antivirus warns me with a popup before i get into the site.
some sites have unrecognized files in their scripts, and when the antivirus sees this, they immediately recognize it as a virus, preventing possible mishaps from happening when you get into the site.
