Are you tired of doing the same things every day?

There are too many things duplicate in our life. Every day we get up at the same time, eat same breakfast, walk on the same street. We take the same buses, arrive at school or office at the same time, do almost same works say 'hello' to the same people. I know that we do have differnt and attractive things to do. But do yu feel tired of doing such same things? Do you think they are redundant and a waste of time? And what's your everyday-must-do-work?

I agree with you, but I don't think it's a waste of time because humans are beings of habit and subconsciously, I believe, even take comfort in this repetition. Imagine living in a different house every day, with different streets around you and different people. You would have to take a different bus every day, live in a different community, and go to a different, unfamiliar school or office. Such a lifestyle would perhaps be more dynamic, but not necessarily more convenient or even enjoyable. My day-to-day schedule, like most others', doesn't vary much. I get up early, catch the bus, go to school, come back, eat, do homework, spend time on the computer or other activities, eat, sleep, and then it repeats again. It's a cycle, but I don't think I would be willing to take a different one every day if I was offered to. Repetition is after all, a part of life, and it makes us look forward to change and difference which we wouldn't usually if our schedule varies on a daily basis. ^_^

Maybe saying that doing repeating things are a waste of time is too much.

Routine is good for you, it gives you a purpose. But you can alternate it to suit yourself if you get too bored. My everyday-must-do-work is to surf 12 websites so I can make 12% on my money (see profile).

Doing the same routine everyday seems to depress me alot. I often wonder why do I have to go through these things all the time. I mostly change them by losing interest in what I do and feel guilty about it. It just makes life seem boring and not enjoyable.

While I may get up at the same time weekdays, my patterns vary. I don't often take the same route to work, or eat the same food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. So nope, not really tired of doing the same thing, just tired of facing the same people in the office who don't seems to learn anything new from one day to the next.

I never thought doing our duty is boring or a waste of time. As far as I am as concerned, work is worship. Whatever it is, whether its the same thing or a different thing I do. I usually like to keep myself very busy, so I never get bored of the things that I do in my life over and over. Also I believe no pain, no gain. The only thing we should concerned about is the happiness. It is in our hands to change the life, which can be achieved only through hard work. However, getting up early in the morning, taking break fast, going for work, doing the work, returning home, posting some posts in mylot, having dinner, again sleeping may be some what a bit boring to do it over and over . But, I think I am enjoying it. Whatever things that gets me bore, I like to turn it to the opposite somehow.

Yes, this kind of feeling comes to my mind also sometimes. However, since my job involves lot of field work and touring to other places, this kind of feeling comes only occasionally.

I started somewhat similar topic for discussion few weeks back . I was moved to read one of the member's response. She said that you all are lucky that you have work to do. Her house was completely destroyed due to fire which was devastating for the whole family. They could not think how they'll start their next day. After this I thanked God for his Blessings He bestowed upon us.

I am a pretty repetitive person. I like constistancy and routine, but on occasion I do find myself "bored". I get the feeling like I just don't want to do it today but if I break my routine then everything seems off. I have been told that this actually a sort of OCD. I don't feel like things have to be done in a certain way and certain time but I feel better if they are.

I used to have a daily routine, but since I've retired, it has changed. Now the only day I keep to any kind of schedule is Sunday. The rest of the week I get up when I please and do what I please when I please. It's quite nice.

I'm always looking for new and different things to do so I find my day to day routine challenging. My everyday must do work is work. I try to do things in a different order and in a different way to keep myself challenged. Everyday, my goal is to find at least five things that I've done or experienced for the first time this year and they're part of my journaling process

I can not agree any more. Sometimes they are really redundant and wasting. But if i got something what is worthy to do,i would enjoy it and forget what is so-called repetition. So it depends on what i am doing.i would like to change my life style and it just needs action and passion. Just establish a goal, even it's small, but carry out, then you will find that you pay less attention to your boring life.

I have thought about this sometimes. I feel like that some days. I mean since I don't have a job and no money, my hubby and I are at home a lot. So, I try to do as many different things as I can when I feel like things are to much the same. I try to change up things, even if it's a small detail. But there are some things that I have to do everyday, so those things stay the same.

I understand how you feel. I get bored very easily, so repetitive things drive me crazy at home (they don't at work for some reason). But there are some things we gotta do on a daily basis, so we just do them. Gotta take care of the kid and house and get to work. Or at least, as a single parent, I do. With a kid around things get mixed up pretty well, so life isn't boring. But I think we can do little things to change what and how we do the repetitive things in our lives so that they don't seem so redundant. Get to work another way one day. Say hi to someone you have never talked to at work. Just little things to make the day "different". You would be amazed how that makes you feel.

Sometimes we think we are tired of whatever we are doing everyday in our life. But it is all what it takes to maintain ourselves alive.Waking up in the morning and starting our day is all we have to do without missing it a single day.The fact that we could move around in any way that we want is a blessing. If we stop and get tired of doing whatever we are used to do,then we do not want to live, you would not like to stop or would you.Are you tired of beeing alive?

This is the life of common people like us.We pass the all the days with the same way.We have no other alternative. To avoid this monotony we can go outside of the town with our family in the weekend. It may not be possible in every weekend.Because we have to day many household works this day.In the evening of this particular day we can atleast go to a park with our family. To change our taste we can go to a hotel. We are ill fated persons. What can we do other than this?

Yes I do and I do think it's a waste of time. I am a stay at home mom so my day consists of cleanning cleanning and more cleanning! I have to run kids to school in the morning and then in the afternoon I have to bring my preschooler to school and then an hour later pick up my other preschooler. I hate it! same thing over and over. I feel like the cleanning part is a waste of time because as soon as everyone gets home the house is a mess AGAIN! so the next day I do the same thing only for it to just get dirty again. I just get so sick of picking up after everyone. I have tried to teach them that everything that is in their hands don't need to end up on the floor. Just put it back where it goes but they can't seem to understand that and it is very frustrating!
