Well, I just switched my home connection from wired to wireless. It's so much convenient by using the wireless connection. I can always bring my laptop around in the house, wherever I like to go. As for the speed, I've heard that wired LAN is better, but so far I haven't feel the difference between wired and wireless connection yet, so I think it should be fine to have a wireless connection at home.

If your are using laptop its better you use wireless connection. The essential utility gets lost somewhere otherwise. I use wireless LAN. The speed is not much, about 100kpbs but its ok for me.

Having a laptop means it is better to have wireless LAN at home. I have three PCs and up to 4 laptops being connected to the Internet at the same time. The wireless strength received ranged from very good to excellent. As for speed it is fast enough to download videos while watching YouTube. Just remember that if one station uses torrent the speed for the other stations would be affected. Wireless is also more convenient since the laptops can easily be moved around.
If you choose wireless do remember to set the security so that not everyone can access the Internet through your network. Before being strict I had up to six freeloaders. I drew the line when one of them used a download accelerator program.
Best of luck

I am actually using wireless LAN to connect the internet. So far, it is better than dial-up, for me. Though at first it was quite slow, but after a week long usage it went faster and now I am truly satisfied with the services I receive from my local service provider. To think that I am only using prepaid internet, it is still at oustanding performance. Thank a lot I got the guts to try using prepaid internet, now I am enjoying the full of it. Now I am thinking whether to upgrade it to post-paid since I'll be surely spending more at prepaid than in post-paid. I am an internet addict! lol!
