Some of us make a choice of education either without giving due thought or under pressure from parents or bedcause fo peer pressure. After we finish our education and get into a job, we feel dissatisfied and feeltaht if we had made a different choice probably we would have been better off. Some times we are unable to secure an admission in a course of our choice and have to perforce settle for our secind or perhaps third choice of subject. How many of you feel that if you had made a different choice, you would have been better off than you are today? ould your life have been any different if you had pursued a different line of education?

i dont know what i would be but i would be better off if my parents hadnt home schooled me.. they didnt keep records and etc so there was literally no way of proving i went to school at all!! i ended up doing the 4 years of high school all over again in my 20s so i could have an actual diploma so that when i did go to college there wouldnt be such a hassle since i couldnt prove i had been home schooled.. turns out they didnt teach me HALF of what i should have learned but i did it all within a year nad made honor roll and gpa of 3.8 but still was a waste of time having to spend that time redoing things i should have already had!! i could have been enrolled in a college instead etc..

First of all, I think that people should pursue whatever it is they want to do, not what others want them to do. If they want to go into a certain field of study, that should be their choice. If they get into it and decide it's not for them, they should have the choice to change then as well. In my case, I started college the fall after graduating high school, like most others, but I got pregnant a couple months after that. I continued to take classes part time, and actually ended up changing my major a couple years down the road. Eventually I ended up quitting classes because it just got to be too much. I found a good paying job in a real estate office about a year and a half ago and decided I would rather be working full time and earning money to support my family, and knew I could always go back to school later if I wanted to. I often regret not being able to finish college, only because I am always wondering where I would be at in my life if I did have a college degree. Where would I be working? Would I be making a lot more money than what I am now? Would I be happier with what I was doing? I may never know the answers to these questions. But I have decided that I want to someday, hopefully in the near future, get my realtors license. The only downfall on this is that I will have to quit my current job in the real estate office to have an active license, which obviously means no more paycheck. So I'm working on saving my money that way I know I have some money to live off of until I get my real estate career going. I think I will be happy with this choice, and hope I don't have as much regret in not finishing college. I think everyone should be able to make these types of decisions in their lives. God put us all here for a reason, not for what others want to see us doing, but what you want to be doing yourself!

I think that if I had a different education then things would have been different. I wasn't able to get to go to university because of children and finances. But I had been able to go to college. But I do hope to one day be able to afford to go back to school and get a better education so that I can get a better job for my family and myself. I work with children right now and would like to do so more with educational side.
