Today everywhere you look there is a new company promoting spring water or bottled water ?.Now I am skeptical as to the authenticity of these companies .Who is to say what they call spring water isnt bottled tap water and bottled water isnt bottled untreated tap water. What set off the warning bells in my head is some of these places that are making bottled spring water. Some of these places I have never heard having rivers ,so I doubt they would have springs. IMAGINE SPRING WATER FROM RUSSIA !!!! NOT SAYING I HAVE BUT HAVE YOU ? AND WOULD YOU TRUST THAT WATER ? !!!!!!

We are very lucky our water is of a good quality and on the whole do not use bottled water. When it is hot my boy takes bottled water to school.I see what you mean about bottled water like you say from Russia I suppose if it glows let it go would be my watch word. All these different bottled water companies I am very sceptical about all there claims, from a spring for hundreds of years with a sell by date on it,if it is constantly running it would be ok.I am of the opinion it is not that good for you, for a start it is in a plastic bottle and they add chemicals to it to preserve it,if you take tap water and put in bottle for a few days it is undrinkable because of the bacteria which multiplys quickly no oxygen in it after a couple of hours, bottled water on the odd occasion is fine but all the time noway.

I have always thought bottled water no matter the company was at best a total waste of money and at worst a severe health hazard. Every few years it comes out that such and such bottled water is really just tap water or that is has more harmful things in it than most tap water in industrized contries. The only times I have ever used bottled water was when I was in a country known for water problems or a couple of times when it was so cheap I bought it for the bottle.

You definitely have reason to be careful. I know there was a news program in last few years that focused on bottled waters. If I remember correctly, very few were actually from a local spring. I don't think there were any untreated waters. Even the spring water stuff. But I could be wrong. Basically you have to do your own research. It used to be pointed out that Evian is NAIVE spelled backwards. IMO the refill water you get from the grocery store is just as good as any bottled water. I only buy bottled water when all my bottles wear out and I need a new one, or I need a drink and don't feel like a sugared up or colored cocktail.
