Your first move out of your parent's house?

What was your experience moving out like? I'm about to move out of my mother's house next weekend, hoping it'll be a smooth move. At first my mom didn't really want to talk about it because it was too difficult for her, but she finally came around and she's OK with the whole thing now. How did your parents react when you told them you were leaving?
