Since I got firefox, internet explorer makes my computer freeze. Weird, huh? Is there any reason this is happening?

I know this discussion is a little old, but I thought I might add my two cents worth. I love FireFox and would you believe ever since I've installed it I've gotten viruses through Internet Explorer. Not to mention all those pop ups come through IE too. Go figure. I had to reboot my computer . . . so far so good.

Me too! It's crazy that it works like that. EVERY time I use IE everything screws up on my computer.

hmm i don't think so that is weird. i suggest which explorer you liek best, if you like IE then jsut uninstall firefox, but if you want you should try the plugin that firefox has that in the browser can switch from firefox to IE stil keeping firefox function

What I really want is just to be able to uninstall IE! It sucks that I can't.

I guess no one knows. Maybe just my internet explorer has some sort of weird bug or something? I don't know. I like firefox more anyway. But people always get on my computer and use internet explorer and it messes everything up. It's so annoying!

Well. thanks anyway! Thanks for responding. MSN explorer IS really slow. Even if it doesn't come with firefox, firefox is free. Just go to mozilla.com. Have fun with your new laptop! I won a laptop from a website about a year ago. It's really cheap, but I love the convenience that laptops bring to the table(because you can just bring them to ANY table). Haha. Bad joke. I'm getting tired. I should get offline now. lol

I had both internet explorer and firefox installed in my computer. But I never faced any difficulty with these browsers. I always runs both browsers simultaneously. I think it may be because of some errors in the registry. Use a registry cleaner to remove those errors and use updated stable version of both browsers. (provided your computer supports their specifications) Now we can install firefox 3 and internet explorer 7 as they are stable versions from those providers. Thank you.
