Christmas Candy Recipes

Do you make any Christmas Candy Recipes? My family is wanting to try to make some new candies for Christmas this year other then our usual Christmas fudge. If you have a recipe for Christmas Candy please do share!

Hello , Please check this Link for Recipes on Christmas Candy : http://www.razzledazzlerecipes.com/christmascandy/index.htm Sponge Candy Recipe 1 C. sugar, granulated or brown 1 C. dark corn syrup 1 T. vanilla 1 T. baking soda 2 large bars Hershey chocolate, melted In a large, heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and vanilla. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cook, without stirring, to 290-300° F., or until mixture separates into hard brittle threads when dropped into cold water. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in baking soda. Mix well. Turn into a deep, buttered 9 x 13-inch pan. Do not spread. Cool, then break into pieces. Dip into melted chocolate, if desired.

Thanks for the link, love the recipes there. I have bookmarked it and will get into it more later. I usually bake 20+ cookies and a few candies for the holidays. I always look for new ideas.

I have a couple of easy recipes I use each year. I like Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Candy. It is quick and easy. 2lbs confectioners sugar 1 c mashed potatoes (may use more to stiffen enough to roll) peanut butter Mix c. sugar and mashed potatoes together until stiff enough to form a ball. (At first it will bee more like liquid as you add sugar to potatoes.) Once formed in a ball, wrap in plastic and refridgerate for a few hours until firm. Roll out in rectangle (like jelly roll). Spread with peanut butter. Roll like a jelly roll and wrap in plastic, refridgerate about 1 hour slice in 1/2" thick pieces. Place in air tight container layer with wax paper. Enjoy!
