Why does it say that my post was posted 11 minutes ago?

I just responded to a discussion, and after posting my response I happened to look at the time it was posted. It said 11 minutes ago. Then I remembered that I posted something yesterday, and it too said that my post was posted 11 minutes ago. So that got me wondering. I though to myself, "Is that happening to everyone, or just me?" Then I was thinking that perhaps the time is from when I clicked on the button to respond, and it just happened that my last two responses took 11 minutes to think about and respond. I guess I may just find out when I post this discussion. I guess too that I should have been paying more attention earlier. I don't recall looking at my post times previous to yesterday. So, anyone have an answer for me?

well, i think that the server time is a bit slow that's why you see your posting time is very late... because a lot of people are posting at the same time so the server have to calculate all of it... another factor would be your connection speed... maybe your connection speed is slow and the data you transmitted to the server will be posted at later time...

LOL i've noticed the same thing tonight. Everytime I posted a new discussion it said I had posted it "11 minutes ago" lol. I was wondering and now that I read your post I know I am not the only one.

No, you are not alone. And as with you, it is kind of reassuring to know that, even if it doesn't really matter what time we posted.

I don't have any answers for you. But I can tell you that your post now says that it was put up 5 minutes ago. Isn't that funny.

That's odd. I don't have any idea why it would be different for different people.

I don't know if I have any answer for this. But I too often worder about this. I see some of my responses instantly after refreshing the page when I post it. Still I see it something like 9 minutes ago etc. As it is happening with you ane me, I am sure it might be happening to others too. Time has wings, they say. But the time can't pass so fast. Can it?
