I have over three hundred posts to my name yet over ninety percent of these are new discussions. Its not that I am selfish or dont want to respond to others discussions its just that I find it so much easier to create a new discussion.Several times I hav tried to analyse and outside of the obvious financial benefit (i think its easier to earn from discussions),I cant see why I am so into discussions.Well may be I do get a rush from seing and reading the responses. The main reason I think for my affinity to writing discussions is that it is easier for me to formulate my thoughts into a discussion where I have total control rather than have to submit to another person's line of reasoning.A new discussion gives me more lattitude to write what I feel rather than responding within the defined scope of others discussions. Is it a situation that I need to be in control ,to lead rather than follow or is this just a load of philosophical hogwash.
Feel free to tell me wht you think .Do you have a similar experience ? or the exact opposite ?

I feel that unless you also respond it is not a discussion.
Imagine talking with someone at home or at work and asking them a question. Then when they reply to you, instead of responding you just up and go and get on with something else. I feel that after some time no-one would speak to you again. Same here on myLot with the discussions. If we don't get back to those users who take time to respond to us we will find no-one responding at all as time goes by

I am totally the exact opposite of you. It is a pain in the a$$ to find a discussion to write but give me a discussion and I can write a bunch of lines to respond on them. And that's what keeps me reaching the minimum payout each month for 4 straight already. I cannot tell that making a discussion has higher benefit than just responding to discussions. What I know is that, you earn from your discussions when someone respond in it and that would depend on the number of response you have. And so it is easier for me to just respond to a given discussion then that's already a sure win for me to earn. But again we have a different world.

With out you writing your discussions I would have nothing to do, some of them I have not got an answer for and there are so many sometimes I feel I should give someone else the benefit of my life experience and opinion but no if you find it easier to write then to answer.I find it easier to answer then to write my own although I do have spurts of inspiration and off I go.So if you like we are almost perfectly matched and no you are not a control freak, you would only be that if you made us answer you.x

I understand your frustration sometimes when I dont respond but know that I truly treasure your experiences ,thay have been most inspirational.I would really feel lost if you didnt respond to my discussion ,its just that sometimes I get carried away with coming up with new discussion that I forget the ones I get responses to.Yes I do believe we are perfectly matched and I will try in the future to respond all my discussions
