Suriname's squad for their debut at the ICC Americas Division 1 tournament has been severely weakened after US officials refused to grant entry visas for a significant number of its players. As many as 50% of the original squad has had to be replaced. It's not known whether captain and allrounder Troy Dudnauth is one of the players denied entry. Why did this happen? If this is done how will the sport grow in USA?

I guess it's normal.. Just like soccer, some players do get their visas delcined too, when they are supposed to be playing in some countries.. I think that cant be helped, for security is the biggest issue in a country, and they cant afford to take any risk.. SO it's just too bad for the team, or maybe cricket is just not popular in the US.. haha

That is shocking if true and the ICC should take some action against the Americans for this or even move the tournament to another country altogether! Maybe the Americans are worried that some of the Surinam players may stay illegally after the tournament?
